Post Election Thoughts and God Stuff

Regardless of your political persuasion or how you voted, the United States of America remains the greatest country on the globe. There is no other nation which carries the banner for freedom higher or has paid a greater cost than America. We have been and still continue to be an example and hope to the world. It is a privilege to live within her borders and to be called an American. I love my country and I pray for her, too.

It is my prayer that the events of these past months will drive people to a closer relationship with Christ. Perhaps, we’ll quit depending so much on self and truly depend upon Him. He is the only trustworthy, faithful, and true one. I pray these events drive us to a greater dependence. Perhaps, this could be the beginning of a great revival in the church. Maybe, believers will move from self-sufficiency to a greater God-sufficiency. He is the only one who’ll not disappoint you or forsake you.

We must not trust in men or their ideas; we must trust the true and only sovereign one. God is looking for those who will trust Him; a people that will be called His own. I don’t trust in men or women for that matter, I trust in God. Come back to Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” May this be our motto, may this be our confession. I choose to trust God!

Go ahead and listen to this rendition of our National Anthem, it’ll move you.
